Huawei Nova 8 with Kirin 985 5G SoC, 8GB RAM unveiled

Huawei has unveiled a new Nova Series smartphone in China called Huawei Nova 8. It comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and is powered by Android 10 based EMUI 11.

The Huawei Nova 8 measures 160.12 x 74.01 x 7.64 mm and weighs 169 grams. It has dual Nano SIM slots and supports 5G (SA/NSA) / Dual 4G VoLTe. It is powered by 3800 mAh (typical) battery and supports 66W SuperCharge fast charging.

The Huawei Nova 8 specs include 6.57-inch OLED display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 392ppi pixel density and delivers 90Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Powering inside is octa-core (2.56GHz A76 x 1 + 2.4GHz A76 x 4 + 1.84GHz A55 x 4) Huawei Kirin 985 5G SoC with Mali-G77 GPU and Large + Micro core NPU. It has 8GB RAM and comes in options of 128GB / 256GB storage space.

Other features of Nova 8 Pro include 32MP front camera with F/2.0 Aperture. At the back side are quad-cameras which includes 64MP (main, F/1.9) + 8MP (120° utlra-wide, F/2.4, 10X digital zoom) + 2MP (depth, F/2.4) + 2MP (macro, F/2.4) shooters and LED flash.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.1, USB type-C, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou and NFC. There is support for USB Type-C audio.

The Huawei Nova 8 128GB storage variant price is 3299 Yuan (US$ 505 / Rs. 37,170 approx.) while its 256GB storage model costs 3699 Yuan (US$ 565 / Rs. 41, 690 approx.) It comes in Midnight Black, Midsummer Purple and Forest Green colors.
