Huawei P20 and P20 Pro officially announced

Huawei has just announced its latest P20 and P20 Pro smartphone at an event in Paris. The Huawei P20 comes in Twilight, Pink Gold, Midnight Blue, Black and Champagne Gold colors and is priced at €680.

The Huawei P20 is inspired by the luminous waves of light energy and comes with curved glass body. Its curvature is precision-crafted for comfortable one hand use.  To top it off, there is an IP53 rating for the phone for dust and splash resistance. The device features in 5.8-inch FullView display (RGBW Screen) that is not only radiantly bright but consumes less power. It has 2244 x 1080 pixels resolution and supports multi-touch.
The Huawei P20 uses AI-Driven 3D facial modeling technology to further enhance its selfies. Its 3d portrait lighting brings studio-quality lighting effects. The device also supports Master AI which in real-time identifies 19-different categories. The AI also adjusts lighting and other settings to deliver professional photography. There is an built-in AI chipset the recognizes the scene and color balance photograph automatically.
At the Front bottom bezel is an edgeless fingerprint sensor with smart navigation. At the top front is a notch which houses a receiver, sensors and front camera. By the way, there is a 24.8MP selfie shooter with CMOS Sony IMX576 Sensor, F/2.0 Aperture that delivers vibrant, sharp, dazzling images. At the back side is 12MP (RGB, 1/2.3-inch sensor size, F/1.6 Aperture, 1.55µm pixel size) + 20MP (Monochrome, F/1.6 lens) LEICA dual cameras (with dual-tone LED Flash) that captures quality photographs. They have wide aperture lenses,  pixel size and offers AI Image stabilization captures blur free shots even in low lights in Night Mode. These Dual Leica shooters can also capture 960fps super slow motion videos, 4-wasy Auto Focus (PDAF/Laser/Contrast/Depth).
The Huawei P20 specs include octa-core Kirin 970 SoC with Mali G72 MP12 GPU. It has 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage space and allows further expansion as well, that is if you are ready to sacrifice one of Hybrid Dual SIM slots. There is a 2400 mAh battery which supports Huawei’s Super charging.
Connectivity wise, it supports dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/5GHz Dual Band), Bluetooth V4.2 LE, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC etc. It also comes with USB Type-C Audio, Ahi-Fi Audio with HWA, Dolby Atmos and stereo speakers

Huawei P20 Pro

The Huawei P20 Pro is the flagship. It houses world’s first Leica Triple cameras that pushes boundaries of creative mobile photography. It is inspired by Kinetics of light and precision-engineered to capture rich, detailed atmospheric images.
These three cameras include 20MP (Monochrome, F/1.6 Aperture) + 40MP (RGB, F/1.8 Aperture) + 8MP (Telephoto, F/2.4 Aperture) snappers with Leica VARIO-SUMMILUX-H Lenses. There is a Leica Zoom Lens system that offers 5X Hybrid Zoom., Hybrid Focus (Laser/deep/PDAF/CAF) and slow motion recording at 960fps.
The Huawei P20 Pro features in 24MP selfie camera which affers AI beautification, 3D portrait lighting and face unlock. It has an Ultra Snapshot mode that captures images in just about 0.3 seconds. It has AI stabilization that captures blurr-free low light shots using night mode. Huawei said that phone has score 109 overall points and 114 points in photos at DxOMark.
The handset measures 155 x 73.9 x 7.8 mm and weighs 180 grams. It has fingerprint sensor and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS with EMUI 8.1 on top. The device comes in Single / Dual SIM options and supports dual 4G VoLTE. It also supports USB Type-C Audio, comes with stereo speakers, HiFi Audio with HWA and Dolby Atmos.
The Huawei P20 Pro specs include 6.1-inch OLED Display with 2.5D curved glass and offers 2240 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by octa-core (2.4GHz A73 x 4 + 1.8GHz A53 x 4) Kirin 970 10nm processor with i7 co-processor and Mali-G72 MP12 GPU. It has Neural Processing Unit (NPU) as well.
The device packs in 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage space and is powered by 4000 mAh battery. Huawei’s super charge fast charging is also supported. Connectivity wise, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth V4.2 LE, NFC, USB Type-C and GPS are supported as well.
