Huawei Watch D with GPS, NFC announced

Huawei officially announced its latest smartwatch in China called Huawei Watch D. The wearable is registered as a Class II medical device by the Drug Administration of China.

It is priced at 2988 Yuan ($469 / Rs. 35,300 approx.) and comes in Black and Titanium colors. The smartwatch will go on sale in China from December 25th. The wearable was introduced along with Huawei P50 Pocket flip phone.

HUAWEI Watch D specifications and features

The wearable has measurements of 51 x 38 x 13.6 mm and weighs just about 40.9 grams without strap. It comes with IP68 water resistant rating and fits a 1.68-inch 2.5D AMOLED touch screen inside aluminum casing. The screen offers 456 x 280 pixels resolution at 326ppi pixel density.

The smartphone houses 6-axis IMU sensors like Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Optical Heart rate, Hall,, ECG acquisition sensor, ALS, Differential pressure etc. It has Huawei TruSeen 5.0+ for heart rate monitoring and Huawei TruSleep 2.0 for sleep tracking. The Huawei TruRelax can track stress levels.

The Huawei Watch D feature in micro air pumps, airbags and other structures need to measure blood pressure. Its high-precision pressure sensor, pressure feedback control circuits and low flow resistance air circuits monitors Blood Pressure with error accuracy of ±3mmHg. The ECG high performance sensor collects ECG signals and generates ECG reports in real time.

The HUAWEI Watch D comes with more than 70 workout modes for fitness fanatics. It works with Huawei Sports Health App to deliver Health related data. The smartwatch includes GPS positioning and NFC for contactless payments.

The smartwatch uses Bluetooth V5.1 for seamless connectivity. It works with devices powered by HarmonyOS 2.0+, Android 6.0+ and iOS 12.0+. The battery inside WATCH D delivers up to 7 days of typical usage.
