Huawei has silently introduced its latest smartphone in its ‘Y Series’ called Y5 2017. It is an entry level device and is listed on Huawei’s website.
The phone has measurements of 143.8 x 72 x 8.35 mm and weighs about 150 grams. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with EMUI 4.1.
The device has soft curvature design and distinct textured body with unique CD pattern around the camera lens. It has Computer Numeric Control (CNC) crafting process at the bottom.
It has 3000 mAh typical battery capacity that is said to offer 1.5 days of usage on single charge. The battery is removable and delivers more than 80% capacity even after more than 800 charging cycles. The Huawei Y5 2017 Specs include 5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It is powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 MediaTek MT6737T processor with Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. It has 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory and allows further expansion up to 128GB using MicroSD card. It has 5MP front camera with 84-degree wide angle lens and 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and Auto Focus capabilities. The handset supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.0, MicroUBS v2.0, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc. It has Accelerometer, Proximity, Ambient Light sensors and compass. The Huawei Y5 2017 comes in Pink, Gold, Blue, White and Gray color options.
