Lava Z61 with 18:9 display, 3000 mAh battery launched in India

Lava expands its Z Series smartphones with the launch of Lava Z61. Its 1GB RAM runs on Android Oreo (Go Edition) while the 2GB RAM model is powered by Android 8.1 Oreo OS.
The Lava Z61 specs include 5.45-inch display with 1440 x 720 pixels resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D corning gorilla glass. Under the hood is 1.5GHz quad-core processor and comes with 16GB of internal storage space. It also allows further expansion using MicroSD card.
The mobile features in a 3000 mAh battery which is said to offers about 1.5 day of usage on single charge. Lava says that it is “supported with AI technology” that monitors mobile’s battery consumption and shuts down background apps which haven’t been used for a while.
The Lava Z61 features in 5MP front camera with LED Flash. At the back side is an 8MP shooter with LED Flash, Auto Focus and ‘Sharp Click’ technology. Usual connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.0, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS and 3.5mm Audio jack are supported as well.
The Lav Z61 price in India is set at Rs. 5750 and is already in more than 80,000 retail outlets. The Lava Z61 2GB RAM model will launch in August 2018. The handset comes in Black and Gold colors.
The handset also comes with Rs. 2200 cashback for Reliance Jio users (instant cashback). It will be credited in the form of 44 cashback vouchers of Rs. 50 than can be used for the recharge of Rs. 198 and Rs. 299 plans.
