LG Electronics has unveiled its latest premium soundbars called SL8YG, SL9YG and SL10YG. These are aimed at home theater enthusiasts.
The LG SL9YG and SL10YG are two CES Innovation Award recipients while the SL9YG got the Best of Innovation title. These soundbars have been developed closely in association with Meridian, making use of its evolving technology for improved sound.
Apart from basic fine-tuning and adopting features, they come with Meridian’s Bass & Space technology for enhancing listeners experience. It also comes with Image Elevation technology, which is designed to lift the soundstage. The Meridian Upmix technology increases sound immersion by improving the sound field while upgrading the clarity of vocals and lead instruments. The LG SL8, SL9 and SL10 can up-mix two-channel audio to multiple, distinct channels without generating any distortion while maintaining tonal balance. Additionally, they also support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, delivering breathtakingly realistic surround sound. They have advanced processing algorithm for high-resolution audio. Users can also add the Wireless Rear Speaker Kit to achieve more cinematic experience. These smart soundbars feature in AI smart connectivity and voice recognition. They have built-in Google Assistant using which users can control sound bar or get various information. They are also compatible with several Google Assistant-enabled smart products (most of Android phones, tablets) The LG SL8YG, SL9YG and SL10YG soundbars will be showcased at LG’s booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center during CES 2019.
