Google has announced list of smartwatches that will get the latest Android Wear 2.0 update. The update will be available in all the supported smartwatches in coming weeks.
The Android Wear 2.0 brings in new features and design tweaks. It will allow smartwatch to access internet directly over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or Cellular. It even works when the paired smartphone is far away or turned off.
It has revamped UI which includes new notification design and app launcher. It has new watch face picker which makes it easy to switch watch faces faster. The system UI adorns a dark color palette and makes better use of round displays.
The Android Wear 2.0 Update allows application to receive push messages using Google Cloud Messaging and access it directly from smart watch. The App’s interface are more consistent and intuitive. Its new navigation drawer and action drawer components in Wearable support library makes it easy to align your app with new Vertical layout.
The update also brings in new input methods like handwriting, smart reply and gesture keyboard. It gets a new notification template with a layout optimized for quick and responsive messaging. It can show data from other apps, fitness improvements, Activity recognitions etc.
