MediaTek has launched its latest True Octa-Core chip called Helio P15. It is an upgraded version of Helio P10 processor and is said to bring 10% improvement in overall performance.
The MediaTek Helio P15 features eight Cortex-A53 cores with clock speeds of 2GHz to 2.2GHz. It has Mali-T860 MP2 GPU clocked at 700MHz to 800MHz.
The System-on-Chip supports LTE at Cat.6 speeds and allows dual carrier aggregation as well. It can handle LPDDR3 RAM with speeds up to 933MHz. The chipset is manufactured using 28nm process.
Last month, MediaTek has also unveiled Helio P20 Octa-Core SoC (Cortex-A53 cores) with maximum clock speeds of up to 2.3GHz. It has Mali-T880 MP2 GPU (900MHz) and Supports dual-channel LPDDR4-1600 RAM. The chipset is manufactured using 16nm process.
Via
