Meizu as expected, has officially introduced 16Xs smartphone in China. We already know key details as the handset was already certified by TENAA earlier this month.
The phone measures 152 x 74.4 x 8.35 mm and weighs 165 grams. It has Dual SIM slots and supports Dual 4G VoLTE. It has plexiglass back and sports an in display fingerprint sensor (unlocks in 0.2 seconds).
The Meizu 16Xs features in 16MP front camera with F/2.2 Aperture. It also supports face unlock, unlocking in just 0.2 seconds. There is a triple camera setup at the back consisting of 48MP (1/2.25-inch Samsung ISCOCELL Bright GM1 sensor, F/1.7, 0.8um pixels, PDAF) + 8MP (118.8-degree ultra-wide angle, F/2.2) + 5MP (F/1.9) triple camera setup with Ring LED Flash.
The mobile packs in 6.2-inch multi-touch on-cell Super AMOLED display with 2232 x 1080 pixels Full HD+ resolution at 18.6:9 aspect ratio and delivers 430nits brightness. The smartphone also boasts an impressive 90.29% screen-to-body ratio.
The Meizu 16Xs specs include 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform with Adrneo 612 GPU. It has 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and comes in options of 64GB / 128GB storage space (non expandable). There is a 4000 mAh (typical) / 3900 mAh (minimum) battery with 18W fast charging support.
The handset also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, GPS/GLONASS and USB Type-C. There is no 3.5mm Audio Jack however, company has also unveiled its new EP2C Type-C headset which has built-in DAC.
The Meizu 16Xs 64GB storage variant price is 1698 Yuan (US$ 245 / Rs. 17,150 approx.) while the Meizu 16Xs 128GB storage model costs 1998 Yuan (US$ 289 / Rs. 20,200 approx.). The Meizu EP2C Type-C headset will sell for 129 Yuan (US$ 18 / Rs. 1300 approx.) (can be purchased with 16Xs for 99 Yuan (US$ 14 / Rs. 999). The handset comes in Silk White, coral Orange, Blue and Midnight Black colors. The smartphone will go on sale in China from June 10th.
