Meizu has officially announced its latest mobile called Meizu M5, also known as Blue Charm 5 in China.
It has mTouch 2.1 fingerprint sensor embedded under the home button which unlocks the phone in just 0.2 seconds. It supports 360-degree angle identification and stores up to 5 prints.
The phone has dimensions of 147.2 x 72.8 x 8 mm and weighs about 138 grams. It runs on Yun OS with Flyme UI. It has Dual SIM slots with Dual Standby and supports 4G LTE.
The Meizu M5 features a 5MP selfie camera on the front with F/2.0 Aperture, 4P Lens, Face AE brightness enhancement etc. On the back side is 13MP main snapper with F/2.2 Aperture, 5P Lens, PDAF, Panorama and dual LED Flash.
The cellphone is equipped with 3070 mAh typical battery that fuels the hardware. It also supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.0 LE, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS, 3.5mm Audio jack etc. It also has IR sensor, Gyroscope, Ambient Light and e-Compass.
The Meizu M5 is priced at ¥ 699 ($103/€94) for 16GB and ¥ 899 ($133/€121) for 32GB variant. It comes in Matte Black, Mint Green, Blue, Champagne Gold and White colors. The Mint Green variant has special UV coating that keeps the color fading while the Matte Black color is scratch and fingerprint resistant. The Meizu Blue Charm 5 is already available in China starting today.
