Microsoft Band now supports Cortana on Android Devices as well

Microsoft has updated its Health Application on Google Play Store, thus bringing its Cortana personal assistant support to Android Phones paired with its Microsoft Bands.
There is a catch though, You have to be in the US (due to its limited availability) and have Cortana for Android installed on your phone to be able to use the features. The Microsoft Health App is available for Android Smartphones running on 4.2 Jelly Bean or above.
Initially, Android devices only paired with Microsoft Band and lacked this much needed feature. The latest version (1.3.20602.2) of the App now allows Android users to access Cortana and send / reply text messages, instant notifications, communications, voice active information etc.
[notice] What’s New
– Connect and compete with your friends – Create challenges for steps, cardio score, runs, and bike rides between you and your Facebook friends who also use Microsoft Health.
– Cortana is now available on Android – With Cortana on your Band, you can access your personal assistant for instant notifications of important events, communications, and voice-active info without reaching for your phone. Speak into the mic on your Band to Cortana to take actions for you.
