Microsoft Edge browser for Android and iOS unveiled

Microsoft Edge, a popular browser for Desktop is now coming to mobiles. Microsoft has unveiled Edge browser for Android and iOS devices.
The browser not only allows smooth browsing but also automatically syncs information in the background. It also offers several familiar features like new Tabs, Reading List, Favorites and Reading View. The passwords and Favorites are synced across your devices.
Additionally, the syncing allows one to continue work on PC. It can immediately open the pages on the on Windows 10 desktop and allows easy switching as well (mobile / desktop).
For easier focus on reading, it has Reading View that reorganizes the content on the webpage. The Hub View simplifies finding and managing content like favorites, history, books etc.
Microsoft Edge for Android and iOS iamge -1The Microsoft Edge browser for iOS and Android comes with QR code reader. It can fetch information just with a touch. It has Voice Search and InPrivate functionalities as well.
The iOS application uses WebKit engine (provided in WKWebView control). Microsoft says that Edge for iOS should match version of Safari that is currently available for iOS. The Android App makes use of Blink rendering engine from Chromium browser project.
The Microsoft Edge browser is currently in Preview for both Android and iOS iterations. It is currently available only for Windows Insiders. For iOS App, it will be available in limited numbers only to Apple’s TestFlight System. For Android, it is expected to release soon at Android Play Store Early Access.
