Microsoft has announced its latest Android powered dual screen device called Surface Duo 2. It comes in 128GB / 256GB / 512GB storage options and is priced at $1499.99 / $1599.99 / $1799.99 respectively.
The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 comes in Obsidian and Glacier colors. It is up for pre-order in select markets and starts shipping from October 21st.

When closed, the device measures 145.2 x 92.1 x 11 mm. When you open it, the dimensions are 145.2 x 184.5 x 5.5 mm. It has total weight of 284 grams. It comes with one eSIM and one Nano Slot for 5G (SA/NSA) / 4G LTE connectivity.
The Surface Duo 2 feature 5.8-inch AMOLED single PixelSense display offering 1344 x 1892 pixels resolution at 13:9 aspect ratio and 401ppi pixel density. On opening, it offers 8.3-inch AMOLED display with 2688 x 1892 pixels resolution, 13:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz adaptive refresh rate, DCI-P3 colors, 800nits (max) brightness and 100% sRGB color gamut. Its screen has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
Powering inside is octa-core Snapdragon 888 mobile platform with Adreno 660 GPU. IT has 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB / 256GB / 512GB UFS 3.1 storage options. The device comes pre-installed with Android 11 OS. It has side mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics.
The Surface Duo 2 specs include 12MP (main, F/1.7, OIS) + 16MP (ultra-wide, F/2.2) + 12MP (telephoto, F/2.4, OIS, 2x Optical) triple cameras at back with LED Flash and 4K video recording support. At the front side is a 12MP selfie camera with F/2.0 aperture for video calling.
The device is powered by 4449 mAh (typ) / 4340mAh (min) dual battery capacity and supports 23W fast charging. It has stereo speakers with dual Mic for AI-based noise suppression and acoustic echo cancellation.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.1, Display port over USB-C, NFC and USB Type-C audio.
