Microsoft Surface Laptop with 13.5-inch display announced, price starts $999

Microsoft has announced its latest Surface Laptop. It runs on Windows 10 S.
It features in a 13.5-Inch Pixel Sense edge-to-edge display. The screen offers 2256 x 1504 pixels resolution, 3:2 aspect ratio, supports 10-point multi-touch and has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It has 201ppi pixel density and is Surface Pen ready.
Other specifications of Microsoft Surface Laptop include Intel Core i5 or i7 7th Generation processor options with Intel HD 620 (in i5) or Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 GPU (in i7).
It comes in 4GB / 8GB / 16GB RAM options coupled with 128GB / 256GB / 512GB SSD storage. It has 720p front camera for video conferences. It also comes with Stereo microphones and Omnisonic speakers with Dolby Audio Premium.
Microsoft Surface Laptop image -10The Laptop has dimensions of 308.1 x 223.27 x 14.48 mm and weighs 1.25 Kg. It is equipped with TPM chip that offers Enterprise-Level protection. Windows Hello face sign-in is also supported.
The battery inside Surface Laptop offers up to 14.5 hours of battery backup (video playback). It’s Alcantara covered keyboard and soft palm rest allows comfortable typing for long hours.
Microsoft has also included Ambient Light sensor. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11ac Wi-Fi wireless networking IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n compatible, Bluetooth V4.0 LE, USB 3.0, mini Display port, 3.5mm headphone jack and Surface connect.
The Microsoft SURFACE Laptop price starts at $999 for Intel Core i5 /4GB RAM / 128GB SSD variant. It comes in Platinum, Burgandy, Cobalt Blue and Graphite Gold color options. Pre-orders start today in U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. It will be available from June 15th.
