Microsoft expands its Surface Laptop offering with announcement of its new Surface Laptop 4. It comes in 13.5-inch and 15-inch PixelSense display offering with 2256 x 1504 pixels resolution, 3:2 aspect ratio and 10-point multi-touch support.
Depending on model, the Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 can be availed in options of quad-core 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 OR quad-core 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1185G7 processors with Intel Iris X Graphics. The laptop will also have option of AMD Ryzen 5 4680U processor with Radeon Graphics Microsoft Surface Edition (6-core).
The Surface Laptop 4 13.5″ model has dimensions of 308 x 223 x 14.5 mm and weighs 1.26 kg (Platinum) / 1.28 Kg (Matte Black metal). The Surface Laptop 4 15″ model has measurements of 339.5 x 244 x 14.7 mm and weighs 1.54 Kg.
These have 8GB / 16GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB / 512GB SSD storage options. Removable SSD option is also available. These have 720p HD front camera with F/2.0 Aperture. They have TPM 2.0 chip for enterprise level security, Bitlocker support and Windows Hello Face sign in. All models include ambient light sensor as well.
The 13.5″ Ryzen powered Surface 4 offers up to 19 hours of battery life, while its 15″ Ryzen model gives about 17.5 hours. The 13.5″ Intel based Surface 4 is claimed to offer up to 17 hours of battery while 15″ Surface 4 with Intel chipset gives about 16.5 hours of battery backup.
All models have Omnisonic speakers with Dolby Atmos, Dual far field studio mics and 3.5mm audio jack. They have support for Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth V5.0 LE, USB-A, USB-C and Surface Connect.

The Surface 4 13.5″ model has Ice Blue and Platinum Alcantara colors while its 15″ model has Platinum and Matte Black metal shades. These are up for order in US, Canada and Japan. Availability in other markets is slated soon.
