Misfit has partnered with Speedo and has introduced Shine 2 Swimmer’s Edition activity tracker. It is made up of Anodized Aircraft-grade Aluminium, TPU material sports band and Nylon action clip and Clasp.
It comes with proprietary lap counting algorithms to track swimmers lap. It can also track accuracy of stokes and its types, distance and sports workout timer as well. The data collected can be tracked using Misfit App or Speedo’s personalized application called the Speedo Fit.
The Misfit Shine 2 features 12 multicolour LED’s and sports capacitive touch-sensor. It is water resistant up to 50 meters and gives vibration feedback (text alerts, alarms etc.) as well. It is equipped with 3-axis accelerometer and manetometer. The device can measure steps taken, calories burnt, distance, activity types, sleep quality and duration.
It has has Panasonic CR2032 coin cell battery that gives battery life of up to 6 months. This smart activity tracker syncs with Bluetooth V4.1 and is compatible with most iOS and Android phones running on 4.3 jelly bean or above. Users can also control wide range of connected home devices, including nest, using Misfit Link.
