Motorola launches MOTO E40 smartphone in India

Motorola has officially launched its latest Moto E series smartphone in India called MOTO E40. Ahead of its official announcement, the handset was listed by Romanian e-retailer with specs and photos.

The Motorola Moto E40 is priced in India at Rs. 9499 and comes in Carbon Gray and Pink Clay colors. It will go on sale at Flipkart from October 17th.

MOTO E40 specifications and features

The mobile comes with splash resistant design and has IP52 splash resistant rating. It has dual nano SIM slots and a dedicated microSD card slot. The device runs on Android 11 OS out of the box.

The cell phone measures 165.1 x 75.7 x 9.14 mm and weighs just about 198 grams. It has rear facing fingerprint sensor and houses a dedicated google assistant button.

The Moto E40 specs include 6.5-inch Max Vision LCD display with 1600 x 720 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate multi-touch support.

Under the hood is octa-core UNISOC T700 processor with Mali-G52 850MHz GPU. It has 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage space and allows further expansion up to 1TB using MicroSD card.

The Moto E40 feature an 8MP front camera with F/2.0 Aperture and 1.12um pixel size. At the back side are triple cameras and LED Flash. These include 48MP (main, F/1.79 Aperture, 0.8um pixel size, 4-in-1 super pixel at 1.6um, quad-pixel tech, PDAF), 2MP (Macro, F/2.4 Aperture, 1.75um pixel size) and 2MP (depth, F/2.4 Aperture, 1.75um pixel size) cameras.

The cell phone houses 5000mAh battery and supports 10W fast charging. It comes with single bottom rear speaker and 3.5mm audio jack. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C and GPS/GLONASS/Beidou.
