Motorola has officially announced its new Razr 5G smartphone. It is a flip-phone powered by Android 10 OS and comes with two displays (Main + external).
The new Motorola Razr 5G comes with Dual SIM support (Nano + eSIM). It has rear mounted fingerprint sensor placed under Motorola Logo. The smartphone also sports a water-repellent design.
When folded, the handset measures 91.7 x 72.6 x 16 mm. In open state, the device has dimensions of 169.2 x 72.6 x 7.9 mm. Its total weight is 192 grams. Motorola has included quad-microphones and bottom ported speaker for audio.
The new Razr 5G specs include main 6.2-inch Cinemavision foldable Plastic OLED screen with 2142 x 876 pixels resolution at 21:9 aspect ratio and multi-touch support. It also features in an external 2.7-inch Glass OLED screen with 800 x 600 pixels resolution at 4:3 aspect ratio.
Its 2.7-inch second screen has updated gesture navigation (navigation bar at bottom). Users can easily reach at home screen by swiping up, access keyboard to quickly reply messages, turn-by-turn Google map navigation, access music apps etc.
The mobile comes with durable 7000 series aluminum frame, stainless steel hinge and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on body. Under the hood is octa-core Snapdragon 765G mobile processor with Adreno 620 GPU.
The Motorola Razr 5G features in 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB built-in storage space (non expandable). It has a smaller 2800mAh battery capacity with 15W TurboPower fast charging support.
Motorola has included a 20MP quad-pixel camera at the front with 1.6um pixel size and F/2.2 Aperture. It also integrates with Google Lens and supports features like Auto Smile capture, Gesture selfie, Smart composition, Burst Shot, Auto HDR, Raw Photo etc.
At the back side is a single 48MP quad-pixel camera (at 12MP output, 1.6um pixel size) with F/1.7 Aperture, OIS, AF and LED flash. It can record 4K videos at 30fps, 1080p at 60fps, slow motion 1080p at 120fps. There are several camera enhancements as well including shot optimization, Gesture shots, Burst shots, Auto HDR, Professional mode etc.
Latest Motorola Razr 5G smartphone supports 5G (SA/NSA) and Dual 4G VoLTE. It has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo, NFC and USB 3.0 Type-C. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack though.
The Motorola Razr 5G price is $1399.99 (Rs. 1,02,820 approx.) and comes in Polished Graphite, Liquid Mercury and Blush Gold colors. It will go on sale in US this fall and will be available at Amazon.com, Best Buy, B&H Photo and Motorola.com. You can also get it at AT&T and T-Mobile carriers. The smartphone will also land in markets of Latin America, Middle East and Asia Pacific.
