All-New Amazon Echo Dot (2nd Gen) announced for $49.99

Amazon has announced all-new Echo Dot (2nd Gen) virtual assistant in the US. It is powered by Alexa and sports a sleek compact design.
It has measurements of 32 x 84 x 84 mm and weighs about 163 grams. The virtual assistant is powered by Alexa and comes with a built-in speaker.
The Amazon’s all-new Echo Dot (2nd Gen) features seven microphones and makes use of beam-forming technology and enhanced noise cancellation to detect the wake word “Alexa”.
It has a powerful speech processor to ensure far-field speech recognition accuracy. It connects with headphones or speakers using Bluetooth or 3.5mm stereo cable. It can be used to play music from Prime Music, Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio and TuneIn.
The Echo Dot (2nd Generation) is hands-free and voice-controlled device that can also control smart-home devices, read news, provides information, set alarms etc. It has support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz) and is constantly getting smarter with new features.

The All-New Echo Dot (2nd Gen) is priced at $49.99 and is available in White and Black colors. It is already up for pre-order at Amazon.com and will start shipping in October.
Amazon has also announced this new Echo Dot and Amazon Echo in Germany and UK. They are up for pre-order in UK for £49.99 and £149.99 respectively. In Germany, the Eco is priced at €179.99 while the New Echo Dot has price-tag of €59.99. They will start shipping next month.
