Along with Apple iPad 10th Generation, company has also unveiled its new iPad Pro 11” and iPad Pro 12.9” models. Both of these come with upgraded chipsets and are available in both Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + Cellular options.
Apple iPad Pro 11” / 12.9” specs and features
The iPad Pro 11-inch model measures 247.6 x 178.5 x 5.9 mm and weighs 466 grams (Wi-Fi) / 470 grams (Wi-Fi + Cellular). It has a 11-inch LED-backlit Liquid Retina display offering 2388 x 1668 pixels resolution, 264ppi pixel density, 600nits brightness and P3 color gamut. It has 28.65Wh rechargeable Lithium-Polymer battery inside.
The iPad Pro 12.9-inch model has dimensions of 280.6 x 214.9 x 5.9 mm and has weight of 682 grams (Wi-Fi) / 685 grams (Wi-Fi + Cellular). This particular model boasts 12.9-ionch Liquid Retina XDR mini-LED backlit display and gives 2732 x 2048 pixels resolution, 264ppi pixel density and P3 color gamut. It has 600nits (typical) / 1000nits (max full screen) / 1600nits (peak HDR) brightness. The tablet packs in a large 40.88Wh battery that delivers up to 10 hours of web surfing on Wi-Fi.
The Apple iPad Pro 11” / 12.9” models are powered by octa-core Apple M2 chipset which makes up of 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores. It is paired with 10-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine. These models come with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB storage options. Their top-end model houses 16GB RAM and 1TB/2TB storage space.
The Pro models run on iOS 16. These come with five microphones for optimum calling, video and audio recording. Additionally, there are four speakers for enhanced audio. These come with array of sensors like Ambient Light, barometer, Accelerometer, 3-axis gyro, LiDAR scanner and Face ID.
For optics, Apple has included a 12MP true depth ultra-wide front camera with 122-degree FOV, F/2.4 Aperture and Retina Flash. It has features like Portrait lighting, Depth control and Portrait mode with advanced bokeh. At the back side are dual camera which include 12MP main wide-angle with F/1.8 Aperture and Auto Focus with Focus pixels. There is a second 10MP ultra-wide with 125-degree FOV, F/2.4 Aperture and 5P lens. These shooters have Sapphire crystal lens cover and brighter true tone flash.
For connectivity, there is optional 5G (with Thunderbolt and USB 4 via USB-C port), Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax, simultaneous Dual Band (2.4/5GHz) 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth V5.3, GPS/GNSS, Thunderbolt 3 / USB 4 (up to 40Gbps) / USB 3.1 Gen 2 (up to 10Gbps).
