New Nokia 6 Android One smartphone with ZEISS optics announced

HMD Global has officially announced its latest Nokia smartphone called Nokia 6 (2018). It is company’s latest Android One smartphone and is introduced for global markets at MWC 2018.
It has uni-body metal design and is made from 6000 series aluminum. The handset comes in single / dual SIM options and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo OS. It has rear mounted fingerprint sensor for security and quick unlocking. Company has promised Face Unlock and Nokia Dual Sight / Bothie feature via an OTA update, which will be released in Q2 2018.
The Nokia 6 (2018) specs include 5.5-inch 2.5D curved glass display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and delivers 450 nits brightness. Under the hood is an octa-core (1.2GHz A53 x 4 + 1.5GHz A53 x 4) Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC with Adreno 505 GPU.
It has two variants – one with 3GB RAM with 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal memory. Both allow further expansion up to 128GB using MicroSD card. The handset measures 148.8 x 75.8 x 8.6 mm and is equipped with 3000 mAh built-in Battery. Fast charging is also supported.
Nokia-6-2018-image-2The Nokia 6 2018 features in 8MP front camera with F/2.0 Aperture, 1.12µm pixel size and 84-degree wide angle lens. At the back side is a 16MP main shooter with dual-tone LED flash, F/2.0 Aperture, 1µm pixels and supports PDAF.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, GPS, USB Type-C (2.0), NFC, FM Radio, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
The new Nokia 6 (2018) Android One smartphone is priced at €249 (US$ 305 / Rs. 19,810 approx.) and comes in Black/Copper, White/Iron and Blue/Gold colors. It will start rolling out in early April 2018.
