Nokia 8 V 5G UW unveiled for Verizon with 5G NR / mmWave support

HMD Global, after introducing Nokia 8.3 5G smartphone back in March, has now unveiled its new Nokia 8 V 5G UW. The handset supports mmWave 5G network at Verizon.

In terms of specifications, It has side facing fingerprint sensor and powered by Andorid 10 OS. The phone has measurements of 171.90 x 78.56 x 8.99 mm and weighs 226 grams.

It has Dual SIM slots with 5G NR / mmWave and Dual 4G VoLTE support. The cellphone features in 6.81-inch LCD display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution and supports multi-touch.

At its core is an eight-core Snapdragon 765G mobile platform with Adreno 620 GPU. The mobile comes in options of 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64GB storage and 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB built-in memory.

The Nokia 8 V 5G UW specs include 24MP front camera coupled with four camera setup at the back. These include 64MP (main, ZEISS optics) + 12MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth) shooters and LED Flash.

The smartphone houses 4500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It has OZO audio and 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of connectivity, there is support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C, GPS/Glonass/Beidou and FM receiver.

The Nokia 8 V 5G UW price is $699 (Rs. 51,650 approx.) and comes in Meteor Grey color. It will sell at Verizon and Best Buy from November 12th.
