Nokia 9 PureView announced, has five rear cameras with ZEISS optics

HMD Global has announced its much rumored Penta camera smartphone called Nokia 9 PureView. It comes with in-display fingerprint sensor, comes with IP67 ratings and water resistant body.
The smartphone has dimensions of 155 x 75 x 8 mm and has weight of 172 grams. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie OS and comes with single speaker. It has three microphones with spatial recording.
Main feature of Nokia 9 PureView is its penta camera setup at the back with ZEISS Optics. It consists of 12MP (RGB) + 12MP (RGB) + 12MP (Mono) + 12MP (Mono) + 12MP (Mono) shooters. In simple sense, it has two RGB and three Monochrome sensors with ZEISS optics.
The handset capture HDR shots using all five cameras simultaneously with up to 12.4 stops of dynamic range and a full scene 12MP depth map. Everything is fused together in to one 12MP photo with impressive dynamic range and depth of field to refocus later.
Nokia-9-PureView-photo-2These cameras can also capture uncompressed RAW “DNG” format image and directly edit them on phone with Adobe Lightroom. For selfies and video calling there is a 20MP front facing camera.
The Nokia 9 PureView specs include 5.99 inch pOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. There is a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection for scratch resistance. Coming to internals, there is a 2.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU. It has 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS storage.
A 3320 mAh battery fact charging powers the hardware. The battery also supports Wireless charging. Connectivity wise, the handset supports dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C, GPS etc.
The Nokia 9 PureView price is $699 (Rs. 49,650 approx.) and comes in Midnight Blue colors. The handset is up for pre-roder and will go on sale in March.
