Nokia G50 officially unveiled with Snapdragon 480 5G SoC

HMD Global has officially launched its latest G Series smartphone in Europe and UK called Nokia G50.

It is an Android 11 powered smartphone with Hybrid dual Nano SIM slots and 5G (SA/NSA) / Dual 4G VoLTE support.

The smartphone measures 173.83 x 77.68 x 8.85 mm and weighs 220 grams. It has side-mounted fingerprint sensor and comes with IP52 splash resistant rating.

The Nokia G50 specs include 6.82-inch multi-touch display with 1640 x 720 pixels resolution, 450nits brightness and 70% NTSC color gamut.

Pumping inside this mobile is octa-core Snapdragon 480 mobile platform with Adreno 619 GPU. It has options of 4GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64GB UFS 2.1 storage and 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB UFS 2.1 storage space. It supports MicroSD card up to 512GB.

The G50 feature an 8MP front camera. At the back side houses 48MP (main), 5MP (ultra-wide) and 2MP (depth) cameras with LED flash. The cellphone houses 5000mAh (typical) battery with 18W fast charging support.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS/Bedio, FM Radio and 3.5mm audio jack.

Price, availability

The Nokia G50 price starts at €230 ($269 / Rs. 19,930 aprpox.) / £199 for its 4GB/64GB model. The handset comes in Midnight Sun and Ocean Blue colors. It will roll out in Europe and UK soon.
