nubia-α is a cell phone inside smartwatch

ZTE’s Nubia brand had unveiled its latest innovative product called nubia-α (called at Nubia Apha). It is a smartphone that fits on your wrist.
The Nubia Alpha is something that you might have seen in Sy-Fy movies. It falls in to concept of wrist phone and comes with 4G LTE cellular connectivity for answering calls, use apps and browse notifications.
This unique wearable device made out of stainless steel while its display is coated under heat-resistant polyimide. There is a Gold version as well which is plated with 18K gold. Both variants are water resistant.
Nubia Alpha photo 2The nubia-α is phone cum smartwatch on the wrist boasting a 4-inch flexible OLED display which is produced in collaboration with Visionox. The screen has resolution of 960 x 192 pixels and a tall 36:9 aspect ratio.
The device comes with Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset and is backed by 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM. Company says, that it can easily store up to 1000 songs.
Nubia has developed Custom OS for Alpha. It has AIM (Air Interaction Mechanics) and Motion Gestures which will further enhance user experience. It includes 500mAh battery which is claimed to offer couple of days of endurance.
The nubia-α is a phone as it comes with eSIM capable of voice calling and 4G LTE. There is Bluetooth version as well without eSIM which needs to connect with your smartphone and requires Wi-Fi for internet.
As you might expect from a smart wearable, it has most of fitness functions including heart rate monitor and sleep tracking features. It comes with built-in 5MP camera with F/2.2 Aperture and can even handle video calls or take photos.
The Nubia Alpha eSIM model costs €550 while its Gold version is priced slightly higher at €650. The Bluetooth Version of Nubia Alpha will sell for €450. It will come in Black color and will launch in April. The China Unicom will get it first in April, followed by Europe in Q3 and in North America in Q4.
