Nubia Z18 flagship with Snapdragon 845, 8GB RAM announced

ZTE’s Nubia brand has announced its latest flagship smartphone called Nubia Z18. The handset went official in China with top of the line specifications.
The device measures 148.58 x 72.54 x 8.55 mm and weighs about 172 grams. It has Dual SIM slots and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with Nubia UI 6.0. It has all-metalalloy frame and glass back, which has Gorilla Glass protection. The mobile also comes with dedicated voice button and a fingerprint sensor at the back.
The Nubia Z18 specifications include 5.99-inch 2.5D curved glass in-cell display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio, 96% NTSC color gamut and multi-touch support. There is Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection as well.
The smartphone features in 2.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU. It has 6GB LPDDR4 RAM with 64GB UFS 2.1 storage and 8GB LPDDR4 RAM with 128GB storage options. The storage is non expandable though.
The Nubia Z18 features in 8MP front facing selfie camera which is equipped with wide-angle lens, F/2.0 Aperture and Face Unlock. At the back side there is 16MP (F/1.6, PDAF, OIS, EIS) + 24MP (F/1.6, Portrait shots) dual rear cameras with dual-tone LED Flash. It also supports AI scene recognition which recognises more than 500 scenes.
The hardware gets power from 3450 mAh (typical) / 3350 mAh (minimum) battery and supports Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging as well. For audio there DTS+ DBass. Usual connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS are present as well.
The Nubia Z18 price starts at 2799 Yuan (US$ 410 / Rs. 29,350 approx.) for 6GB/64GB model and goes up to 3200 Yuan (US$ 482 / Rs. 34,600 approx.) for 8GB/128GB variant. The handset comes in Midnight Black and Nebula Red colors.

Nubia has also introduced Nubia Z18 Limited Edition Van Gogh Starlight Collector’s Edition model which is priced at 3599 Yuan (US$ 525 / Rs. 37,750 approx.) Sales start in China from September 11th.
