ZTE’s Nubia brand has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone in China called Z40S Pro. It is newest member in its ‘Z Series’ and boasts an impressive specs sheet.
Nubia Z40S Pro specifications
Starting with measurements of Z40s Pro, which are 161.27 x 73.95 x 8.05 mm and total weight of 205 grams. It comes with an AG glass back and dual Nano SIM slots inside.
The mobile phone is powered by Android 12 based MyOS 12 and comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor for fast and secure unlocking. It has stereo dual speaker setup with Dual Smart PA and DTS:X Ultra.
The Nubia Z40S Pro specs include 6.67-inch multi-touch AMOLED flexible curved display that offers 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, 10-bit color depth, 100% DCI-P3 colors and up to 1000nits peak brightness. Notably, the cell phone sports a 0.95mm side frame and 1.46mm top frame.
Under the hood is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform with Adreno next-gen GPU. It has 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM options and boasts 128GB/256GB/512GB storage (UFS 3.1) options. To top it off, the premium variant of Nubia Z40S Pro feature 18GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB UFS 3.1 storage space.
The Z40S Pro comes with 38387mm² heat dissipation area and includes 3062mm² of ultra-large VC, aerospace-grade micro-nano-cavity graphene phase change temperature chamber, and diamond thermal conductive gel. The combination forms a double-enclosed structure for better heat dissipation.
Coming to camera department, the smartphone houses a 16MP front camera with F/2.45 Aperture. It has triple cameras at back with LED Flash. These include 64MP (main, Sony IMX787 sensor, F/1.6, 35mm lens, OIS) + 50MP (116-degree ultra-wide, Samsung JN1 sensor, F/2.2) + 8MP (125mm Periscope / Telephoto lens, F/3.4, Laser AF) cameras. There is support for 8K video recording as well.
Other specs of Nubia Z40S Pro include 5000mAh (typical with 80W fast charging) / 4600mAh (typical with 120W fast charging) battery options. The 4600mAh model can go from 0 to 100% in just 19 minutes.
Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.2, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo and Type-C Audio.
