HONOR has officially introduced its new X40 GT smartphone in China. It is a gaming mobile under its GT Series and is offered in Phantom Night Black, Racing Black and Titanium Silver colors.

The mobile has measurements of 166.1 x 75.8 x 8.45 mm and has weight of 199.5 grams. It comes with a side-facing fingerprint sensor for biometrics.
The device offers Dual SIM (Nano Slots) connectivity and allows 5G SA/NSA and Dual 4G VoLTE. It is powered by Android 12 OS with Magic UI 6.1 on top.
The HONOR X40 GT specs include 6.81-inch IPS LCD 10-ppoint multi-touch display with 2388 x 1080 pixels resolution, 19.9:9 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate. Its screen offers precision touch up to 16 times using a proprietary AI touch prediction algorithm.
Powering inside is an octa-core Snapdragon 888 mobile platform with Adreno 660 GPU. It has 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM options and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage space. HONOR has included GPU Turbo X, which is a rendering technology that boosts GPU rendering performance by up to 30%.
The Honor X40 GT 5G feature in 16MP front camera with F/2.45 Aperture and supports 2D face recognition. At the back side are triple cameras which include 50MP (main, F/1.8) + 2MP (depth, F/2.4) + 2MP (macro, F/2.4) lenses.
The cell phone packs in a 4800mAh battery and supports 66W fast charging. It has Type-C audio support and delivers HONOR Histen 7.0 sound effects. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz) 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth V5.2, USB Type-C, NFC and GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo.

The cell phone is up for pre-order in China (with 100/200 Yuan discount) and will go on sale from October 18th.
