OnePlus 5T goes official – Specs, Price, Availability

OnePlus has just launched its latest smartphone called OnePlus 5T. It was announced at an event in Brooklyn, New York.
It comes pre-installed with Android 7.1.1 Nougat based Oxygen OS 4.7. The OS not only offers several customizations but also includes apps like Parallel Apps and Gallery Map. The operating system is upgradable to Android 8.0 Oreo in future.
The cell phone measures 156.1 x 75 x 7.3 mm and weighs 162 grams. The ceramic fingerprint sensor is now placed a the back. It can unlock the handset in 0.2 seconds. The device sports uni-body Anodized Aluminum metal design
Unlike OnePlus 5, the 5T features in 6.01-inch Optic AMOLED display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The screen offers 2106 x 1080 pixels Full HD+ resolution, 80.5% screen-to-body ratio, DCI-P3 color coverage, sRGB and supports multi-touch.
Under the hood is 2.45GHz octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform (10nm) coupled with Adreno 540 for graphics. The 6GB LPDDR4X RAM model comes with 64GB UFS 2.1 storage space while the 8GB LPDDR4X RAM variant houses 128GB UFS 2.1 Internal memory.
It has Dirac HD sound and sports 3 microphones for noise cancellation. It has dedicated Dual Nano SIM slots and supports 4G VoLTE. There is a 3300 mAh battery inside which supports 5V4A Dash charging.
The OnePlus 5T specs include 16MP front facing camera. It has Sony IMX371 sensor, F/2.0 Aperture and 1.0µm pixel size. On the back side is horizontally placed dual rear cameras along with dual LED flash. One of them is 16MP snapper with wide-angle lens, Sony IMX398 sensor, F/1.7 Aperture, 1.12μm pixel size and supports EIS. The secondary rear camera is a 20MP (for better low light and depth of field) shooter with Sony IMX376K sensor, F/1.7 Aperture, 1.0µm pixel size and records 720p slow motion at 120fps, 1080p at 60fps and 4K videos at 120 Fps.
Connectivity wise, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2 X 2 MU-MIMO), Bluetooth V5.0 (aptX HD), USB 2.0 Type-C, NFC, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou and 3.5mm Audio Jack.
The OnePlus 5T 6GB RAM / 64GB ROM model is priced at $499 in US, €499 in Europe, £450 in UK, CAD 660 in Canada and Rs. 32,999 in India. The premium 8GB RAM / 128GB storage variant costs $549 in US, €549 in Europe, £500 in UK, CAD 730 in Canada and Rs. 37,999 in India.
