A new ACE series smartphone from OnePlus has gone official in Chinese markets. The device is dubbed as OnePlus ACE 2 5G. Notably, this mobile will soon launch in India as OnePlus 11R in few hours.
OnePlus ACE 2 (OnePlus 11R) features
The phone showcases a balance of power and beauty with its black hole inspired design. It has K-shaped light and shadow on the edge of lens thanks to its new particle design. The rear glass has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and has silky feel.
The OnePlus ACE 2 / OnePlus 11R measures 163.4 x 74.3 x 8.7 mm and weighs 204 grams. It has stereo speakers inside with Dolby Atmos and allows Type-C audio. It has dual Nano SIM slos for 5G SA/NSA and dual 4G VoLTE. It comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and is powered by Android 13 based ColorOS 13 (in China) / OxygenOS globally.
The smartphone offers a 6.74-inch AMOLED display that gives 2772 x 1240 pixels resolution. It has Adaptive refresh rate (40/45/60/90/120Hz), 450ppi pixel density, 14440Hz high frequency PWM dimming, 100% DCI-P3 colors and delivers 1450nits peak brightness. The screen has Asahi Glass AGC protection on top.
The ACE 2 / 11R is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform with Adreno 730 GPU. It has 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM options and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage variants. It has 5177mm² eight-channel heat dissipation VC cooling which offers 2X heat conduction capactity of liquid-cooled VC.
Additionally, the device boasts 12-high-performance e-sports antennas and LinkBoost 4.0 network optimizations for better performance reliability. It comes with an upgraded Game Frame Stabilization Engine 2.0 for higher frame rates. Moreover, it has super-frame super-picture engine that closely works with hardware chip, game engines and software algorithms for enhanced frame rates (in 100+ games).
The OnePlus ACE 2 5G feature a 16MP front camera with F/2.4 Aperture. At the back side is a combination of 50MP main (1/1.56-inch Sony IMX890 sensor, F/1.8 Aperture, OIS) + 8MP 120-degree ultrawide (Omnivision OV08D10 sensor, F/2.2 Aperture) + 2MP macro (Omnivision OV02B10 sensor, F/2.4 Aperture) cameras along with an LED Flash.
The OnePlus 11R / Ace 2 packs in a 5000mAh (typical) battery and supports 100W SuperVOOC fast charging. It can go from 1% to 100% in just about 25 minutes. OnePlus says that this cellphone uses world’s first SuperVOOC S Power management chip which enhances discharge efficiency of dual-cell battery to 99.5%.
Connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual band (2.4/5GHz), bluetooth V5.2, USB Type-C, NFC and dual band GPS/GLONASS/Beidou are supported.
