Oppo expands its A Series smartphone lineup in China with the announcement of Oppo A97 5G smartphone.
The cell phone is powered by Android 12 based color OS 12.1 out of the box. It has dual Nano SIM slots which is obvious. It has support for both 5G (SA/NSA) and 4G VoLTE.
The Oppo A97 comes with a 6.58-inch multi-touch IPS LCD display that gives 2408 x 1080 pixels resolution, about 20:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate.
The cell phone itself measures 163.8 x 75.1 x 7.9 mm and weighs about 188 grams. It has Octa-core MediaTek Diemensity 810 processor with Mali-G57 GPU. The A96 is equipped with 12GB RAM and 256GB built in storage space.
The Oppo A97 5G comes pre-installed with Android 12 based ColorOS 12.1. It has side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics. The cell phone houses stereo speakers for audio and packs a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
This particular device includes an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calling. At the back side is a combination of 48MP main and 2MP depth cameras along with LED Flash.
The A97 supports Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.1, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou and 3.5mm audio jack.
The Oppo A97 is priced at 2099 Yuan ($312 / Rs. 24,860 approx.) and comes in dark black and deep blue colors. It is already up for order in China.
