Oppo ACE2 5G phone with SD865, up to 12GB RAM announced

The OPPO Ace2 smartphone is finally official. It is Oppo’s latest 5G smartphone which packs in In-display fingerprint sensor and facial recognition support.

The mobile comes with thickness of 8.6mm and sports metal frame and gradient glass back. You get dual SIM slots inside with primary one supporting 5G (SA/NSA).

The phone boots on ColorOS 7.1 which is based on Android 10. It includes Breeno assistant and comes with several performance enhancement features like Hyper Boost 3.0 and Link Boost 2.0.

The Oppo Ace2 specs include 6.55-inch multi-touch OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It has FHD+ resolution and boasts 91.7% screen-to-body ratio.

Oppo has included octa-core Snapdragon 865 SoC inside. The handset also comes with 4D cooling which includes carbon fiber and vapor cooling chamber.

The OPPO Ace 2 will come in several variants. Its 8GB RAM with 128GB / 256GB storage models will have LPDDR4X RAM while its flagship 12GB RAM / 256GB storage variant comes with LPDDR5 RAM.

There is a 4000mAh battery (2000mAh x 2) which supports 65W SuperVOOC flash charge. Company claims that phone charges 100% in less than 30 minutes. The device also supports 40W Air VOOC wireless charging which fully charges Ace2 in 56 minutes. 10W wireless reverse charging is also supported. Oppo’s Air VOOC wireless fast charge comes with air cooling (fan) which keeps the temperature under 39°C.

The Oppo Ace2 features in quad-camera setup at the back. It has 48MP (main) + 8MP (ultra-wide-angle) + 2MP (portrait) + 2MP (mono) snappers with Ultra steady video mode, OIS, EIS and 4K video recording support. There is a punch hole which houses 16MP front camera.

The Oppo Ace2 colors include Black and Purple shades. It will be available in China from April 20th.
