Oppo Band with 1.1-inch AMOLED display is official now

Oppo has announced its first smart fitness band in China called Oppo Band. It was introduced along side Reno4 series smartphones and Enco W51 earphones.

Weighing in at just 10.3 grams (without band), the Oppo Band features a 1.1-inch AMOLED display, which is a 24-bit color touch screen with 294 x 126 pixels resolution. The screen is big enough to display 50 characters and delivers 100% P3 color gamut. The display is topped with 2.5D scratch resistant glass for durability.

The Oppo Band is 5ATM rated, making it water resistant up to 50 meter depths. There is special Fashion Edition of Oppo Band which houses NFC. For easy connectivity with smartphones and iOS devices, the band uses Bluetooth v5.0 LE.

Once connected, it shows notifications about calls, messages and other social apps. The smartband houses tri-axis accelerometer and heart rate sensor for 24/7 heart rate tacking. It also includes Sp02 sensor for monitoring blood oxygen levels.

The Oppo Band offers its users 12 different sports modes which include Outdoor running, cycling, walking, indoor cycling, indoor running, fat loss running, free training, swimming, badminton, elliptical machine, rowing machine and weight training.

To make things competitive, it also offers rewards for. The smart band offers more than 160 different band faces to choose from. It has 100mAh battery which offers about 14 days of usage time.

The Oppo Band price is 199 Yuan (US$ 28 / Rs. 2130 approx.) and comes in Black and Pink colors. The Oppo Band Fashion Edition with stainless steel body and TPU+ alloy band costs 249 Yuan (US$ 35 / Rs. 2660) and comes in Black and gold colors. The EVA Evangelion-themed limited edition Oppo band price is 299 Yuan (US$ 42 / Rs. 3190 approx.)
