Oppo K9 5G announced with 4300mAh 65W fast charging battery

A new 5G smartphone from Oppo called K9 5G has been officially unveiled in China. It is latest member in company’s K Series lineup.

The phone is powered by Android 11 based ColorOS 11.1 and houses an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication. The mobile has dimensions of 159.1 x 73.4 x 7.9 mm and weighs 172 grams.

The Oppo K9 5G feature a 6.43-inch OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The screen gives 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution at 20:9 aspect ratio, delivers 750nits of peak brightness, 401ppi pixel density, 1000000:1 contrast ratio and 96.72% DCI-P3 colors. Thanks to slim bezels, K9 5G boasts 91.7% screen-to-body ratio.

Pumping is an eight-core Snapdragon 768G EUV mobile platform with Adreno 620 GPU. It has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and comes in options of 128GB / 256GB UFS 2.1 storage space. There is no expansion slot though.

The Oppo K9 5G specs also include 32MP front facing camera with F/2.4 Aperture. At the back side are triple cameras. Its 64MP main shooter has F/1.7 Aperture and EIS support. The second 8MP camera has 119-degree wide-angle lens with F/2.2 Aperture. These two shooters are accompanied by 2MP macro lens with F/2.4 Aperture.

Powering the hardware is a 4300mAH battery with 65W fast charging support. It fully charges the battery (0 to 100%) in just about 35 minutes. Smartphone also includes dual Nano SIM slots with 5G (SA/NSA) support and Dual 4G VoLTE.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.1, USB Type-C, NFC, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Oppo K9 5G 8GB/128GB model is priced at 1999 Yuan ($308 / Rs. 22,800 approx.) while its 8GB/256GB variant has price-tag of 2199 Yuan ($339 / Rs. 25,080 approx.). The device comes in Spade Black and Gradient Symphony colors.
