OPPO Reno5 A with SD765G SoC launched in Japan

OPPO expands its Reno5 series lineup with a new smartphone called Reno 5A. The handset was unveiled in Japanese markets.

The Oppo Reno5 A is a mid-range mobile phone boasting 3D curved back design and a rear facing fingerprint sensor. The device also comes with IP68 water/dust resistant rating.

The phone itself measures 162 x 74.6 x 8.2 mm and weighs 182 grams. It comes with Dual Nano SIM slots and supports 5G SA/NSA and Dual 4G VoLTE. The device packs a 6.5-inch multi-touch LTPS LCD display offering 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, 96% NTSC color gamut, 405ppi pixel density, 1500:1 contrast ratio and 100% DCI-P3 colors. It also boasts 90% screen-to-body ratio.

The Oppo Reno5 A specs include octa-core Snapdragon 765G mobile platform with Adreno 620 GPU. It has 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB built-in storage space, which is further expandable up to 1TB using MicroSD card. The mobile runs on Android 11 with ColorOS 11.0 on top.

The Reno 5A feature a 4000mAh (typ) / 3890mAh (min) battery capacity and supports 18W fast charging. It has 16MP front camera with F/2.0 Aperture. At the back side are quad-camera consisting of 64MP (main, F/1.7, EIS) + 8MP (119-degree ultra-wide, F/2.2) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth) sensors and LED Flash.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5Ghz), Bluetooth V5.1, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC and 3.5mm audio jack.
