Palm Phone with water-resistant body, 3.3-inch HD display announced

California based Palm, who purchased rights to Palm brand from TCL has officially launched its latest Palm Phone.
The mobile runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS with custom UI. There is no home screen in this one, but shows all the on-board apps. At the bottom of the screen is a gesture pad, which can be accessed simply by swiping up.
Additionally, it has Google Assistant which works with custom activated voice shortcuts. The Life Mode makes the phone in sleep mode, preventing calls and notifications and turning off the screen.
The Palm phone comes with an embedded SIM card and supports 4G VoLTE. The device measures 96.6 x 50.6 x 7.4 mm and has weight of 62.5 grams. The device is also IP68 rated for water and dust resistance.
The Specifications of Palm phone include 3.3-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels HD resolution and 445ppi pixel density. It has 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 435 mobile platform with Adreno 505 GPU. There is 3GB RAM, 32GB on-board ROM and allows further expansion up to 128GB using MicroSD card.
In terms of optics, the smartphone features in 12MP rear camera with LED Flash. For selfies, company has included 8MP front facing shooter. The hardware is powered by 800 mAh battery. Usual connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.1 and GPS are supported.
The Palm Phone price is $349 (Rs. 25,750 approx.) for unlocked model. You can also get it for $299 on two-year contract or $14.58 per month for 24 months. The mobile comes Gold and Titanium colors and will be available exclusively at Verizon in November.
