Panasonic Toughbook A3 rugged Android Tablet launched

Panasonic expands its rugged Android Tablet lineup with the launch of its latest Touchbook A3. The tablet comes with IP65 and MIL-STD-810H durability ratings and is aimed at emergency services personnel, utilities and field service agents, transport and logistics operators and those working in automotive industry.

The Panasonic Touchbook A3 boots on Android 9 Os and supports Panasonic Compass 2.0 suite of enterprise management tools. It comes with ARM TrustZone for additional security.

This Android rugged tablet comes with 10.1-inch IPS WUXGA display which has anti-reflective coating. It also support 10-point multi-touch and and can be used by hand, gloved hand or with capacitive stylus pen.

Under the hood is octa-core (2.2GHz – 1.8GHz) Snapdragon 660 SoC with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM which is expandable using MicroSD card. At the front side is an 5MP shooter for video conference while the back side houses an 8MP auto focus camera with LED flash.

The TOUGHBOOK A3 Tablet is optimized for Global Positioning use with Galileo and GPS in Europe, GLONASS in Russia, QZSS in Japan and Beidou support in China. The battery inside offers 9 hours of use which increases to 15.5 hours with optional large batteries (thanks to its dual battery capability).

The Panasonic Toughbook A3 price starts at £1,182 plus taxes and comes a standard 3 year warranty. It will be available in August 2020 and comes range of accessories.
