Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 ATEX tablet with upgraded specs announced

Panasonic today announced its latest Toughpad FZ-G1 ATEX rugged tablet with upgraded specifications. It runs on Windows 10 Pro operating system.
The tablet is IP65 rated for water and dust resistance. It has ATEX Zone 2 certification and is sturdy enough to withstand 180 cm drops. It is light weight, weighing at about 1.55 Kg.
The ATEX Zone 2 rating, combined with MIL-STD 810G compliance allows it to be used in potentially explosive environments, ranging in chemicals, oil and gas industries.
Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 ATEX image -1The Toughpad FZ-G1 ATEX specs include 10.1-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200 pixels) display that delivers up to 800cd/m2 high brightness. The screen also multi-touch and digitizer pen for added functionality. The touch screen display even works with gloves or in rainy condition.
This rugged Windows Tablet is powered by Intel Core i5-6300U vPro processor and offers wide range of connectivity options. The battery inside is claimed to offer up to 14 hours of usage. Moreover, the battery is swap-able.
The tablet can be configured to include 2D bar-code reader, GPS, MicroSD, 2nd USB 2.0, wired LAN or smart card reader.
The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 ATEX price starts at €3028 + Vat and will be available from February 2018.
