Starbreeze Studios and OVERKILL has announced beginning of PAYDAY 2 VR Beta in the HTC VIVE on Steam. The beta is already available at Steam.
All the owners of PAYDAY 2 and its respective DLC’s can participate in beta. The PAYDAY 2 VR Beta is specially aimed at testing several aspects of VR version of the game (through out testing period).
The Beta allows players to cross-platform playing with friends on standard desktop PC and VR. For those who want to join VR crew can simply participate by downloading the beta branch.
You can find the relevant instructions on how to join the beta here. Developers will be closely following Steam forums to collect feedback for the duration of the beta. The PAYDAY 2 VR is free for all owners of PAYDAY 2. Full release is expected in 2018.
The PAYDAY is a co-operative FPS game with over 16 million units sold for PC, SteamOS, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One combined. It’s 2nd iteration has more than 160 free and paid updates since it first released back in 2013.
