Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Mobile Platform SoC annouanced

Last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 gets a successor and company is calling it Snapdragon 450 Mobile Platform. The SoC is aimed at mid range smartphones and is based on 14nm FinFET process.
It is an octa-core chipset which include up to 1.8GHz quad Cortex-A53 cores + Quad Cortex-A53 cores. It has Adreno 506 GPU that is said to offer 25% improved compute and graphics performance when compared with its predecessor.
It has Integrate X9 LTE modem that supports Global Mode FDD-LTE, TDD-LTE, WCDMA (DC-HSPA+, DC-HSUPA), CDMA1x, EV-DO, TD-SCDMA and GSM/EDGE.
It is capable of delivering Cat7 LTE Speeds of 300Mbps using 2x20MHz carrier aggregation in downlink and Cat13 uplink speed of 15 0Mbps via 64-QAM. Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging is also included.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Mobile Platform SoC has hexagon DSP and brings support for up to 21MP single camera or up to 13MP dual cameras. It also offer Hybrid Auto Focus and Qualcomm Clear Sight camera features.
The chipset also supports up to 1080p video capture at 60fps and HEVC (H.265) encode and decode. The Snapdragon 450 SoC supports up 1920 x 1200 pixels QXGA resolution displays.Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Mobile Platform processor features -1The SoC also offers support for LTE Broadcast, LTE Dual SIM, VoLTE, Wi-Fi Calling with LTE Call continuity and HD/Ultra HD Voice (EVS). Connectivity features include Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with MU-MIMO, GLONASS/BeiDou, GNSS and Bluetooth.
The Qulacomm Snapdragon 450 Mobile Platform SoC samples will be available to OEMs in Q3 2017. Devices running on the chipset are expected in Q4, 2017.
