Razer Acquires Nextbit, Robin Phone sales stops

Razer, a known brand in Gaming community has acquired Nextbit Systems Inc. the company behind Robin Cloud Phone.
For those who are not aware, Nextbit Systems is the company behind Nextbit Robin smartphone that comes with on-board cloud services.
For this, company initially resorted to Kick Starter with a goal of $500,000 in mind. It managed to finally secure amount of around $1.3 million.
After company’s acquisition with Razer, sale of Nextbit Robin  and its accessories has been halted. Company did promise to provide six more months of warranty. It will also deliver security patches and software updates till Feb 2017.
This is not the end of Nextbit thought. Razer said that Nextbit will operate as a standalone business unite under its own management. It will focus on unique design and experiences.
Razer will also give Nextbit branding a makeover. May be, we could see Razer phones in future, but for now it is just too early to speculate.
