Realme has launched two new smartphones in India called Realme 9 5G and Realme 9 5G Speed Edition.

With this Realme mobile phone, you get a 6.5-inch display that gives 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution at 20:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate and up to 600nits brightness. The screen-to-body ratio is rated at 90.5%.
Talking about chipset, the Realme 9 5G feature an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It has options of 4GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB UFS 2.2 storage and 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB UFS 2.2 storage space. The handset supports further expansion up to 1TB using MicroSD card.
The Realme 9 5G uses Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) technology that offers up to 5GB of additional RAM. The cell phone runs on Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0. It is upgradable to Realme UI 3.0 soon.
The mobile itself measures 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.5 mm and weighs 188 grams. It has Ripple Holographic design (with 6 nano layers film) and houses a fingerprint sensor at side. It has dual Nano SIM slots and supports 5G (SA/NSA) (Bands N1 / N28A / N41 / N77 / N28) and dual 4G VoLTE.
The Realme 9 5G houses 16MP front camera with F/2.1 Aperture. At the back side triple cameras making up of 48MP (main, F/1.8), 2MP (B&W, F/2.4) and 2MP (macro, 4cm, F/2.4) lenses and LED Flash.
The smartphone houses a 5000mAh (Typ) battery and allows 18W Dart Charge fast charging. It has support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.1, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS/beidou and 3.5mm audio jack. Hi-Res audio is supported as well.

It is a dual SIM smartphone with dedicated slots and a microSD card slot supporting up to 1TB. The handset boots with Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0 and is upgradable to Realme UI 3.0 soon.
The Realme 9 5G Speed Edition specs include 6.6-inch multi-touch LCD display with 2400 x 1080 pixels FHD+ resolution. It has 144Hz variable refresh rate (24Hz/30Hz/48Hz/60Hz/90Hz/144Hz) and up to 600nits brightness. It has same 90.5% screen-to-body ratio.
Under the hood is an octa-core Snapdragon 778G mobile platform with Adreno 642L GPU. It has 6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM options with 128GB UFS 2.2 storage space (expandable). It has 5000mAh battery and supports 30W dart charge fast charging.
The mobile measures 164.4 x 75.8 x 8.5 mm and has weight of 199 grams. It has side mounted fingerprint sensor and a 16MP selfie shooter with F/2.1 Aperture. At its rear side is a 48MP (main, F/1.8), 2MP (B&W, F/2.4) and 2MP (macro, 4cm, F/2.4) cameras with LED Flash. Connectivity options are same as Realme 9 5G.

The Realme 9 5G Speed Edition has Azure Glow and Starry Glow colors. It is slated to sell in India from March 14th.
