Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has announced is new Redmi Smart Display 8″ along with its Redmi K30 Pro series. It is company’s smart display which comes with an 8-inch multi-touch screen, 1280 x 800 pixels resolution and sports 178-degree wide viewing angles.
The Redmi Smart Display 8″ features in Bluetooth Mesh gateway which allows easy connectivity with Bluetooth enabled devices with a single click. Redmi claims that it can control more than 2000 devices with voice and touch screen.
It also allows one to easily control smart home devices including security cameras. It has voice commands and support for hand gestures for ease.
The Redmi Smart Display 8-inch also comes with 3rd Generation XiaoAi AI assistant. It has 720p front camera for making video calls. Additionally, there is support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth V5.0 for streaming music.
The Redmi Smart Display 8″ price is 349 Yuan (US$ 49 / Rs. 3750 approx.) and will be up for crowd funding on official Xiaomi Channels in China from March 27th.
