Redmi G (2021) Gaming laptop unveiled

Redmi has officially announced its Redmi G (2021) series gaming notebook in China. It comes in AMD and Intel CPU options and will be up for order starting today.

Redmi G (2021) notebook specs and features

The laptop runs on Windows 10 OS and is upgradable to Windows 11 in future. It comes 1.5mm High Key full size Professional Backlit keyboard.

The Redmi G 2021 feature 16.1-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and 178-degree viewing angles. It has 1MP HD camera and digital array mic for video calling.

The notebook comes in two options. One model has 2.6GHz Hexa-core Intel Core i5-11260H processor with Intel Iris XE graphics and NVIDIA RTX 3050 GPU. Its other variant houses 3.2Ghz octa-core AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor with AMD Radeon Graphics and NVIDIA RTX 3060 GPU. It has Hurricane Cooling 3.0 system with two 12V large fans, 5 x all copper heat pipes and 4x air outlets.

The notebook house 16GB DDR4 RAM (3200MHz) and 512GB PCIe SSD storage space. Redmi has yet to announce exact battery capacity. The Redmi G 2021 Intel version comes with 180W power adapter. The Redmi G 2021 AMD version has 230W power adapter.

The notebook supports Wi-Fi 6 802.11x (2×2), Dual Band (2.4/5G) and Bluetooth V5.1. It has two USB 3.1 Gen2, USB 2.0, USB Type-C (4K at 60Hz output), HDMI, MiniDP 1.4 (5K at 60Hz) and Gigabit Ethernet port. The laptop includes dual 2W speakers with DTS:X Ultra and 3.5mm audio jack.

Price

The Redmi G (2021) Intel Edition is priced at 5699 Yuan ($880 / Rs. 64,950 approx.). The Redmi G (2021) Ryzen Edition costs 6999 Yuan ($1082 / Rs. 79,800 approx.).
