Redmi G Gaming Notebook unveiled with Core i5/i7 options

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has unveiled its latest Gaming laptop in China called Redmi G Gaming Notebook. It is powered by Windows 10 OS and comes with 3-level adjustable 1.5mm High Key professional backlit keyboard.

The Redmi G Gaming Notebook features in 16.1-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, delivers 300nits brightness and 178-degree wide-viewing angles. Depending on the model, you get 60Hz or 144Hz refresh rate. The notebook also boasts 81% screen-to-body ratio.

This gaming notebook can be configured with 10th Generation Intel Core i5-10200H (quad-cores, 2.4GHz – up to 4.1GHz) OR Core i5-10300Hz (quad-cores 2.5GHz – up to 4.5GHz) OR Core i7-10750H (Six-cores, 2.6GHz – up to 5GHz) processor. For Graphics, it supports NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or 1650Ti GPU.

For thermals, Redmi has included two internal fans with dual-side air inlets and four air outlets. It has 100% copper heat dissipation module which company claims to enhance 87% better performance.

The Redmi G Gaming Notebook specs also include 16GB (8G x 2) RAM (2933Hz), 512GB NVMe PCIe SSD and up to 2TB M.2 PCIe/SATA SSD slot. There is a 1MP 720p web camera with digital array microphone for Skype and Video conferences.

The laptop has dimensions of 373.44 x 264.47 x 23.1 – 24.35 mm and weighs about 2.5Kg. It has 55Wh battery which Redmi claims to offer up 6 hours of web browsing or 5.5 hours of 1080p local video playback. 180W charging is supported.

In terms of connectivity, you get two USB 3.2 Gen2, USB 2.00, USB Type-C (4K 60Hz output), HDMI, Mini DP 1.4 (5K at 60Hz) and Gigabit Ethernet port. It has support for Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax (2.4/5GHz) and Bluetooth V5.0. For audio, Redmi has included dual 2W speakers with Realtek ALC 256M, DTS:X Ultra and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Redmi G Gaming Notebook comes in Black color. Its selling in China will commence from August 17th.
