Xiaomi has officially launched Redmi Note 12 series smartphones in India. The lineup includes Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G cell phones.
Redmi Note 12 5G specs and features
The phone measures 165.88 x 76.21 x7.98 mm and weighs about 188 grams. It has Hybrid Dual Nano SIM slots and comes with 5G SA/NSA (n1/n3/n5/n8/n28/n40/n78) and dual 4G VoLTE support.
It comes with a side mounted fingerprint sensor and an IR sensor. The device itself sports IP53 splash and dust resistant rating and is powered by Android 12 based MIUI 13.
The Redmi Note 12 5G specs include 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display that gives 2400 x 1080 pixels FHD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, 1200nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Under the hood is an octa-core Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 mobile platform with Adreno GPU. It has 4GB/6GB RAM LPDDR4X RAM options and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage space. It does allow further storage expansion up to 1TB with MicroSD card.
The Redmi Note 12 5G feature in 48MP (main, F/1.8) + 8MP (ultra-wide, F/2.2) + 2MP (macro, F/2.4) cameras at back with LED flash. At the front side is a 13MP selfie shooter with F/2.0 Aperture.
The smartphone packs a 5000mAh (typical) battery inside and supports 33W fast charging speeds. For connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.1, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou and 3.5mm audio jack.
Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ specs and features
Both of these come with dedicated dual Nano SIM slots. These have IP53 splash resistant rating and houses super-linear speakers with Dolby Atmos. Bot of them houses a 16MP front camera with F/2.45 Aperture.
The Note 12 Pro measures 162.9 x 76.0 x 7.98 mm and weighs 187 grams. It has a combo of 50MP (main, 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX766 sensor, F/1.88, OIS) + 8MP (120-degree ultra-wide, F/2.2) + 2MP (macro, F/2.4) lenses at back along with LED Flash. It has a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
The Note 12 Pro+ has dimensions of 162.9 x 76.0 x 8.98 mm and scales at 208.4 grams. It includes a 4980mAh battery with 120W fast charging speeds. This particular cell phone has a combo of 200MP (main, 1/1.4-inch Samsung HMX sensor, F/1.65, 7P Lens, OIS, ALD) + 8MP (120-degree ultra-wide, F/2.2) + 2MP (macro, F/2.4) cameras at back along with LED Flash.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro / Note 12 Pro+ feature a 6.67-inch OLED display that boasts 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 30/60/90/120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, DCI-P3 colors, 1920Hz PWM dimming and 900nits peak brightness. Their screen has HDR10+, Dolby Vision and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection as well.
Both of these run with octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor with mali-G68 MC4 GPU. These have 6GB/8G LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB UFS 2.2 storage options. There are 8GB/12GB LPDDR4X RAM models with 256GB UFS 2.2 storage as well.
Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA (n1/3/5/8/28a/38/40/41/77/78), Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.2, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Redmi Note 12 5G comes in Matte Black, Mystique Blue and Frosted Green colors. It will go on sale in India at Amazon.in, Mi.com and offline stores from January 11th.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro has Onyx Black, Frosted Blue and Stardust Purple colors. The Note 12 Pro Plus is offered in Obsidian Black, Iceberg Blue and Arctic White colors. Both of these will go on sale at Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home Stores and offline stores from January 11th.
