Xiaomi’ Redmi brand has announced RedmiBook 16 notebook in China. It was announced along side Redmi 10X 4G and Redmi 10X 5G smartphones.
The RedmiBook 16 sports a slim profile with measurements of 367.2 x 232.85 x 17.55 mm and weighs at about 1.8kg. It has full size keyboard with 0.3mm custom key cap and 1.5mm key travel.
The notebook comes with 16.1-inch display which has 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution at 16:9 aspect ratio. The screen gives out 300nits brightness, 100% sRGB and sports 178-degree wide viewing angles.
The RedmiBook 16 can be configured with 2.3Ghz AMD Ryzen 5 4500U (up to 4GHz and 8MB L3 cache) OR 2GHz AMD Ryzen 7 4700U (up to 4.1Ghz and 8MB L3 cache). These have AMD Radeon Graphics along with NVIDIA GeForce MX250 (2GB GDDR5) Graphics.
Depending on the variant, the laptop comes with 8GB /16GB DDR4 (2133Mhz) RAM and 512GB SATA SSD storage. It comes pre-installed with Windows 10 OS. Inside is an 8mm heat pipe and large sized fan for maximum heat transfer.
The RedmiBook 16 features in 46Wh battery and supports fast charging. It can go from 0 to 50% in about 38 minutes (in shut down) while its full charge offers about 12 hours of local video playback or 9 hours on online video.
The laptop supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual Band (2.4/5Ghz), Bluetooth V5.0, USB 3.1 Gen1, two USB-C and HDMI ports. It also includes 3.5mm headphone / mic jack, two 2W speakers with DTS audio and Realtek ALC256 chip for enhanced audio.

The RedmiBook 16 will be up for order in China from June 1st.
