Samsung 1TB eUFS 2.1 -1

Samsung Electronics has announced that it has begun production of industry’s first 1TB embedded Universal Flash Storage (eUFS) 2.1 storage. It is expected to come with premium model of upcoming Galaxy S10+ smartphone.
The Samsung 1TB eUFS 2.1 memory module has same packaging size of 11.5 x 13 mm, which was for 512GB version. Double storage is achieved by combining 16 stacked layers of Samsung’s most advanced 512-gigabit (Gb) V-NAND flash memory and a newly developed proprietary controller.
In terms of speed, users can transfer multimedia content even faster. It has up to 1000MB/s sequential read speed,  up to 260Mb/s sequential write speed, 58000 IOPS random read speed and 50000 IOPS random write speed. The random speeds allow high-speed continuous shooting at 960fps.
Statistically speaking, 1TB storage will allow smartphone users to store 260 10-minute 4K UHD videos (3840 x 2160) format. Its sequential speed is twice of a typical 2.5-inch SATA SSD.
