Samsung announces New Gear VR with Controller

amsung Electronics took to MWC 2017 platform and has announced its new Samsung Gear VR with Controller. It is company’s first Gear VR headset with controller and is powered by Oculus.
The new Gear VR headset has dimensions of 207.8 x 122.5 x 98.6 mm and weighs about 345 grams. It has 42mm lens that offers 101-degree FOV.
It has advanced distortion correction technology that minimizes motion sickness.It also supports both MicroUSB and USB Type-C ports with in-box converter.
The new Gear VR is compatible with Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Note 5, Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+.
Talking about controller, it measures 108.1 x 48.1 x 38.2 mm and weighs 64.3 grams. It has clickable touchpad, trigger, home key, back key and volume key.
The controller is sports 1000mAh battery (AAA Battery). Company claims it to last for up to 40 days if it is used daily for an average of 2 hours. It has ergonomic, curved design that offers convenient one-handed usage and better motion interaction.
