Samsung EVO Plus 256GB microSD card goes official

Samsung has announced its latest EVO Plus 256GB microSD card. It makes use of V-NAND technology, offering read and write speeds of 95MB/s and 90MB/s respectively.
The microSD card can be used as expandable storage for premium smartphones, tablets, video recorders, action cameras and drones. It is a Class 10, UHS-1 and U3 compatible microSD card that offers 256GB storage capacity (93.1% of labelled capacity).
The Samsung EVO Plus 256GB MicroSD Card is waterproof (IEC, 60529, IPX7 rated), temperature proof, X-Ray proof and Magnetic-proof. It has operating temperatures of -25°C to 85°C (-13°F to 185°F).
Its 256GB storage capacity will allow storage of up to 55,200 photos, up to 12 hours of 4K video, up to 33 hours of 1080p videos, up to 46 hours of 720p videos and about 23,500 MP3 files / songs (may vary depending on condition and device).
The Samsung EVO Plus 256GB MicroSD card is priced at US$ 249.99 and will go on sale in June 2016. Company is also offering limited 10-years warranty in more than 50 countries in USA, Europe, China and other markets.
